Wedding Terms & Conditions

The Clients and Steve Sykes Photography consent to happily cooperating and communicating with each other to achieve the best possible result within the understanding of this contract. We recommend that Steve Sykes Photography be provided with a helper (usually the best man or bridesmaid) who will point out key individuals to be photographed. Steve Sykes Photography may also require the assistance of the helper in organising family groups. The Clients also agrees to give the Steve Sykes Photography sufficient warning of key events at the wedding to give time to prepare e.g. Bouquet throwing, cutting the cake, speeches etc. Please note that not all guests at weddings like having their photo taken. In such cases Steve Sykes Photography will use their discretion but cannot be held responsible for a lack of photos of these people.

Paparazzi Wedding Guests 

All your guests will have digital cameras and all your guests will want to photograph the Clients. In the spirit of cheerful cooperation, the Clients agree to give Steve Sykes Photography precedence over the guests in order to take the photographs required for the wedding services described above. 

Please note that Steve Sykes Photography may sometimes be limited by rules imposed by registrars, ministers and venue management as to what can and cannot be done. For example, some ministers insist that no flash photography is allowed, and others will insist that photographs or film can only be shot from a specific location. In such circumstances, the Clients agree to accept the technical limitations that may be imposed on the equipment used. We advise the Clients to make themselves aware of the rules of the venue concerned and if necessary negotiate with the personnel concerned.

Force majeure or Act of God 

The due performance of this contract is subject to alteration or cancellation by either party owing to any cause beyond their control. 

Attendance 

In the unlikely event that Steve Sykes Photography is unable to attend the agreed wedding due to unforeseen circumstances, Steve Sykes Photography reserves the right to appoint another photographer to attend your wedding on our behalf to undertake the wedding to the best of his/her ability. In the unlikely event of a total photographic failure or cancellation of contract by either party in any other circumstance the liability of one party to the other shall be limited to the total value of the contract. Neither party shall be liable for indirect of consequential loss.

The Clients agree to provide a basic meal for Steve Sykes Photography if the length of attendance reaches more than 6 hours.
